Hi Swim Team Parents!
Quick apology for the email mix ups recently—hopefully we have everything settled now and can run clinics smoothly for the rest of the season! For those of you who don’t know me yet, my name is Aubrey Mignone and I am the coach of the ODSL Stingrays and will be organizing swim clinics this summer.
The Stingrays swim programs offer many practices with talented coaches as opportunities for your swimmers to improve and become more competent and skilled swimmers, however, a few years ago the team saw a need for swim clinics in addition to the practices in order to offer sessions with a more specific focus and smaller group size.
This summer clinics will be held Monday through Friday from 12:00-2:00 at Riding Center Pool and are led by the Assistant Coaches from both the CSL and ODSL programs (Chris Crampton, Laura Manning, Rachel Moffitt, Rebecca Mignone and Stacy Miles). All 5 coaches are very talented and are great at working with swimmers to tweak their strokes. Each clinic runs for a half an hour and are divided up by age groups as follows: 8&Unders 12:00-12:30; 9/10 12:30-1:00; 11/12 1:00-1:30; 13&Up1:30-2:00. Clinics are open to swimmers from all three Stingrays programs (that includes Mini Rays!) and we love to have swimmers of all different ability levels.
Each week I will send out the schedule of what topic will be addressed each day, and which coach will be teaching that clinic. Included in that email will be a link to a google form on which you will sign up your swimmer for the clinics that you are interested in. Just click the link and fill in your information and we will add your swimmer to the list of registered swimmers. I ask that you sign your swimmer up for the clinic by 9:00 pmthe night before the clinic in order for us to process the swimmers and convey the information to the coaches. There will be NO deck registration for clinics. Once you have registered your swimmer using the google form, all that’s left for you to do is bring your swimmer to Riding Center Pool on the appropriate day at the appropriate time, and to give them $10 for each clinic that the swimmer is signed up for. Money will be collected for each clinic by the coaches on deck on the day of the clinic.
Steps for signing up for a clinic:
- 1. I will send out an email on Friday or Saturday of each week with the clinics for the upcoming week.
- 2. You click on the google form link included in that email and sign your swimmer up for the desired clinics.
- 3. You will receive a confirmation email from me the evening before your clinic to confirm that your swimmer is registered.
- 4. Bring your swimmer to Riding Center Pool at the appropriate time on the appropriate day with $10 in cash or check made out to the South Riding Stingrays (swimmers who have not paid will not be permitted to take part in the clinic).
- 5. Your swimmer will get small-group topic-specific instruction and improve their strokes and swimming technique!
This week we will begin clinics with the following schedule. Please follow the above steps to register your children for clinics you are interested in. If you have any questions do not hesitate to email me for more clarification or details.
Monday: Coach Chris, Backstroke
Tuesday: Coach Rachel, Breastroke
Wednesday: Coach Stacy: Butterfly
Thursday: Coach Laura: Turns
Friday: Coach Rebecca: Starts

Sorry for the long email and thank you so much for your time. We’ve had so much fun with clinics in the past and I’m excited for this year to be just as successful!
Sincerely,
Aubrey Mignone
